Addiction and Substance Misuse
Giuliano has long and extensive experience in working with the complex issues arising from substance misuse of all types and degrees. For several years he ran a programme at The Core Trust, a drug and alcohol rehabilitation day centre. Central to the treatment programme was the use of ear and body acupuncture.
The NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) protocol developed by Dr Michael O. Smith in the United States has transformed the treatment of addiction. Powerful in its simplicity, it consists of a series of just five points which assist the body in the process of detoxification and reduce physical and psychological craving.
These points can be used repeatedly and frequently to support the patient.
